Frankie Fihn : Speaker, Entrepreneur & Master of the Mystical Arts
Saturday Aug 29, 2020
Saturday Aug 29, 2020
Disclosure: This podcast may contain adult content.
This podcast was created and published in June 2018. However as Frankie was one of the speakers at our recent Reasons & Results summit, it felt like a good time to pull it out of the archives and give it a chance to heard again.
Frankie Fihn is a marketing connection that I met through Facebook, and whilst I did not know his full story, there was something in what he was saying that caught my attention. Like many of my connections, he seemed to have the ideal life of travel and exotic locations.
I went straight into this recording without any preconception, and I have to say it may trigger you as it touches on the use of an illegal substance Ayahuasca. Full disclaimer here as this is by no means an advocation of its use. However, it is a fascinating story.
Frankie Fihn is outwardly successful, he is a well-known speaker, entrepreneur and by his description a Master of the Mystical Arts. He operates a coaching and consulting business for lawyers and builds creative marketing systems. He has a laptop lifestyle allowing him to travel and experience the world with his partner.
However, since his exploration of life through Ayahuasca he looks at the world through a different lens. He calls himself a shaman and in his coaching he uses intuition and vibration to work with people on a different level.
The entrepreneurial lifestyle is often held up as a chalice, yet in reality it is difficult. Frankie supports clients to express and release fears, frustration and self-sabotage. He helps them bring more colour, vibrancy and meaningful connections into their lives, all while increasing their business and personal freedom.
It was a great conversation as you will hear Frankie had a real perspective on the big questions of success, passion, and the meaning of life.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Frankie Fihn

Living The Dream
Sunday Aug 23, 2020
Sunday Aug 23, 2020
This podcast is recorded from a neighbours garden, where I am gathering fruit and vegetables (with permission of course) and I am reflecting on dreams.
What does it look like to live into your dreams?
Most of us have forgotten how to dream or have given up on them and it can feel quite hard to move towards dreams when this happens. Looking back on my father’s life, this appeared to be the way it was for him. In the time I knew him, he didn’t have any aspirations. He just got on with living without any plans to achieve anything new.
If we allow them to, the stresses, strains and challenges of life can get in the way, and it is only when we make a conscious choice to say “I want that” that we can start to build something new.
In reality having a dream, an aspiration or goal to achieve something can be quite easy when we just maintain a steady focus. With this in place we can look back years later and realise we have reached a destination.
16 years ago the dream for my wife and I was moving to Scotland and creating a life full of abundance, with the simple plan being to raise our son in a healthy way. Moving here was really exciting for a while and then we just got on with life. But the focus of having a good life was always there. Looking back I can see we have achieved that dream and life has been abundant for us, not necessarily in a financial way, but that wasn’t our goal.
Now my son is leaving for college and it is time to move towards the next big dream. This has coincided with discovering a passion for creating podcasts and virtual events. I am starting to move more fully into building this dream and having my wife come on board with it, feels really exciting, because now I have my playmate with me.
What are your dreams? Are you living them? Are you exploring new possibilities? Is there a plan?

How Are You Comparing? : LPB Shortcast
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
Sunday Aug 16, 2020
The Energy is building on our forthcoming Reasons & Results Virtual Summit on 24-28 August 2020. Here is the link for more details:
https://reasons-or-results.heysummit.com/
It brings up the question of how we compare ourselves with others. This comes up in many areas of life. It is a topic that is particularly relevant for people on a personal development journey. The question is how do we compare ourselves with others, and is it really like-for-like?
When we look at Social Media profiles, biographies on websites, videos and the like, what we are actually seeing is the success models that are presented to the world in order to give the appearance that everything is perfect and wonderful.
It is important to be aware that all Social Media does is highlight the good bits and rarely shows the rough bits.
So are we really comparing like for like when we measure ourselves against the people we admire. Do we know the journey been on to reach a point where they can showcase their success to the world.
As an Entrepreneur growing a business, it is unrealistic to compare yourself with someone who has reached the top of their game.
Where the issue of comparison does become interesting is when two people meet at the start of a similar journey. Maybe they meet on a workshop or at a conference. Both are heading roughly in the same direction, with similar goals and aspirations. What happens when they reconnect years later.
One may now have reached the desired destination and created a success model that works for them, whereas the other hasn’t. What is the difference?
Often a project starts to fall apart because the person driving it has no clear vision or focus. When problems arise everything starts to crumble and they end up back at the beginning trying to build again from scratch.
The difference is when a person is working in their zone of genius, they have a passion and drive to overcome the things that would otherwise stop them.
Recognizing this is fundamental to success. Finding our purpose and passion for a project will bring it to success, and finding the right people to handle the things we are not so good at, ensures we can stay on track and everyone wins.
That was one of the initial thoughts that I had when I started planning our forthcoming Reasons & Results Virtual Summit on 24-28 August 2020. The event is very much about how we can be in alignment with our goals and looking at what we need to put in place in order to achieve success.

Where Thought Goes - Shortcast
Sunday Aug 09, 2020
Sunday Aug 09, 2020
Where the thought goes the energy flows. Where do we put our attention and how do we move forward?
When we focus on what we want – we get it. When we focus on what we don’t want, we get that too! So how do we move through the porridgy bits to get to the good stuff?
I’ve been noticing how the porridgy bits have been affecting me over the past few months, and discussing this with some of the coaches coming into our event at the end of this month, I have been able to move on with ease.
I am looking forward sharing their wisdom with everyone in our Reasons & Results 5 day virtual summit.
Reasons & Results will help you find your Reasons and work through the stumbling blocks the reach the Results you desire. I hope you will join us.

My guest on this week stared his first job 18 and realised that working for someone was not a sustainable option. It was boring, so Patrick M Powers began his first business at the age of 21 and soon went out of business, losing his home and most of his money.
He had chosen to be a hands-on therapist at a time when the idea was new and pretty radical. Plus he was shy and could not sell himself.
Today Patrick runs one of the largest online business networking organisations in Europe with 27,000 members. He has become and an expert in influence marketing and copywriting.
But of course, there was a story to be told. Like how he went from the shy starving taxi-driver in Copenhagen/Denmark to retiring in style in the Caribbean.
But that would be jumping ahead. The failure of his first business was down to lack of knowledge and confidence for selling. So he started learning the ropes.
By 2003 he had landed himself in a network marketing he hit the big time with a growing company.
Say what you like about network marketing if you use the system and do the work it is possible to be successful. However, being shy was not going to work for Patrick. So he went on to develop his system, and it worked. It worked so well that built a team of 10,000 people.
That was it he was made and set with an income for life until he lost it all. Now stuck in the Dominican Republic and broke, his last cash was sitting in a safe-deposit box in London, he had to borrow money to fly to the UK to get it.
It is a story that leads from despair to life-threatening illness to recovery,

If You Could Get Something Big Done Within Days,
What Would it be Worth to You?
https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/focus-coaching/
Back at the start of the UK lockdown in March. I was inspired to create something and give support to my podcast audience. The idea for a virtual event pulled together a fantastic bunch of people, all willing to give their time and wisdom to the issues and speak.
Greg Fearon and Gillian Davies from the fit and fabulous podcast were eager to take part and delivered a great talk on how to stay fit for life. Once the event was over, I had to bring them onto the podcast.
Gillian was a few weeks back and today is the turn of Greg Fearon. Just like his co-host, he is a women's transformational coach. Over the last five years, he has helped hundreds of women feel better. Get fitter, healthier stronger and enjoy life without looking at the scales.
Greg, like everyone, has a life journey and where he is now could not have been predicted from where he stated. In his words "Growing up, I was the classic fat kid that was rubbish at sport."
Puberty and peer pressure change that and he developed the ability to run and a keen interest in sports. It led him to university and sports science degree.
It was a passion he did not follow, and he chose a career in people management. He worked for some big organisation like the carphone warehouse. After several management roles, he ended up the UK national health service and invited to manage the gynaecology and maternity departments of a hospital.
For Greg, this was a glimpse in the world of women's health. Throughout his management career, he has maintained his connection with fitness. He was always coaching people towards healthier lifestyles, with the NHS role, he had new insights into the needs of professional women.
He saw a need and started Project FIT 6 years ago to pursue a passion for helping Senior Management Professionals, lose weight & get healthy through nutrition and training.
If you would like to get in touch with Greg you can find him on Facebook Linkedin and at the website projectfitharrow.co.uk/ also look out for the fit and fabulous podcast with Gillian Davies

What Makes You Happy
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Welcome to the Sunday reflection and today we're talking about happiness
A few days ago I heard a TED talk, The director of a long-term study that started in the 1930s was sharing his reflections. The study was in the USA and started 75 years ago. A 1000 guys in their second year at college and 1000 guys who were in very poor surroundings in Boston and they followed those men every single year for the last 75 years.
So now in their 80s there's there are 60 left but lots of data to draw on about these people and what happened to them throughout their lives.
What was interesting is that some of these 80-year-olds are very content and happy with their lives and it turns out that the happiest had one thing in common.
Happiness is also linked to my last podcast with John Perkins and this idea of contribution and being in the moment.
The next podcast of the on Wednesday the 22nd and that will be with Greg Fearon who is a transformational health coach

John Purkiss: Part 2 Mindfulness Completion & letting Go
Thursday Jul 16, 2020
Thursday Jul 16, 2020
Welcome to the second part of my conversation with John purpose. To bring you up to speed if you have missed the first part. John got to the point in his life where he realised someone else was in control.
We were 40mintes in and only just got to the success model. It was such a rich conversation I did not want to edit so hence the part two.
What is clear is that once he decided to surrender to the process to move forward, everything changed. The results of that was he secured a job that paid £125000 and year. That is 150000 + US Dollars from my American friends. In 1997 in the UK that was a cracking salary and I'm sure it was a pretty good salary in USA.
We go on to talk about meditation, mindfulness and transcendental meditation. Our conversation was boundless in a way explored how his books pour out of him, and that never suffers from writers' block.
There was the discovery of a guru that completely changed his life, by showing him the process of completion. It was this process that to the book the power of letting go.
The point is we are all reacting out of past pain moving beyond that pain is a path of personal release and would change the world.
We explore Johns process and some of the benefits that he has experiences in the process.
Our whole conversation is about enlightenment and letting go. It is a beautiful conclusion to the story of John Purkiss.

His was life mapped out, a future in Banking and finance was ready and waiting for him. But instead, he got clinical depression that nearly killed him.
After countless doctors and psychiatrists, drugs were prescribed that had him sleeping 10 hours a day
Johns story is not unlike many with ups and downs, starting with the depression; there have been 3 events that lead have him to the depths of despair.
He says we have three choices when life hits the buffers, kill your self, bare it or step up. John has learnt to step up. On his travels John has lived and worked in France, Belgium and the USA and speaks French, German and Spanish.
It was a wide-ranging conversation, We explore how his depression was a blessing.
Why smart people get ill, His interest in Enntrpeanuer ship and Angel investing. And what it cost to recruit Eric Schmidt, the chairman of google in 2001.
We explore intuition and how the discovery if a guru changed much that he thought was true or real. It is a conversation about oneness and so much more.
