Jeannine Kim : Finance to Mystic
Wednesday Jun 14, 2023
Wednesday Jun 14, 2023
Finance to Mystic, how does the move from a life of facts to a life of intuition happen? Our story in the podcast is of transition from the rough and tumble world of finance to healing wisdom and soul work.
On this show, you will discover the importance of sacred clearing, we all clean our physical bodies, but there is more to life than this physical plain.
A 70s Child, free to explore the world
Jammine Kim was an adopted child with red hair and a firebrand personality. She had a wonderful early life in 1970 Chicago. Life was different; for Jeannine, childhood was an experience outside of the house, it was a freedom to explore. As a sensitive child, the world was full of seen and unseen experiences.
She left home at 17 and threw herself at the world, gravitating towards money and finance. Without a college qualification worked her way up from the bottom to become an IPO trader.
In the 1990s, finance was still running on a wall street mentality where greed is good, and women in the industry were commodities.
She was among the first women in the 90s to pursue and win a sexual harassment lawsuit and challenge this behaviour.
That firebrand personality served her well; she was good at the job, trained others and built teams. But life while rich was empty on the inside.
There was a calling back to that sensitive child running wild in Chicago. She found a path through yoga. That was the start of her journey towards healing and the drive to share it with others.
She signed up for healing training in China, meaning she would need to leave her job to make it possible. She would have to choose to release her income, security and health insurance benefits.
The Journey from finance to mystic
The universe has other plans. Our story is that journey and how the universe always has a hand in the process.
Twenty-three years later, she is now a yoga teacher and author, helping thousands of people to reconnect with their guidance and wisdom.

John Bolton : Money Does Grow On Trees
Thursday Mar 23, 2023
Thursday Mar 23, 2023
How often have you heard the phrase “Money does grow on Trees”? If you had a childhood like mine, unlikely without the word NOT between the does and Grow? It is the title of a book by my guest on the show John Bolton.
John is an optometrist from Brisbane, Australia, and he is the first guest in my series on money. He is the author of the book, “ Money Does Grow On Trees”.
Since the beginning of the year, I have been researching several subjects to bring you a series of mini-events around essential topics for our continued growth and development. We could explore many things, but the most significant factor affecting us every day is Money.
That has to be the first topic, and while I have yet to set a date, I can tell you what it will be called.
Let’s Talk About Money.
Because the one thing I’m acutely aware of as I have explored the subject is that people don’t want to discuss it, they are more likely to discuss sex than money. The event date will be out soon, so make sure you are on our mailing list or following the podcast.
Back to our author and guest on the programme. John Bolton has had a pretty good life; as I explored his story, what stood out was his journey with personal development. His parents were forward-thinking and exposed him to books and tapes from an early age. While he was not interested, it is clear that his parents were role models in his journey.
In our conversation, we cover the five questions related to John’s life and how he explores the idea of passion, purpose, success, meaning and contribution.
John was fortunate to discover that speaking to people and helping them was a calling. As an optometrist, he found a profession that supported both his joy and passion. It satisfied his need to help, making people’s lives better with new glasses and, at the same time having great conversations.
The key to John’s success has been the books he has read, well over 100. His decision to write his own was the desire to share the 15 books that have changed his life.

Reconnecting with past guests in the birthday show was just like connecting with old friends, and it has opened new possibilities for some interesting conversations. One of those was with Patrick Powers; he was on the show last in the middle of the Covid Lockdowns in the Uk.
A lot has changed for him since my last conversation, and as we are currently looking for a date to meet up, I thought it would be a good opportunity to upload our last conversation.
There are a few references in the show to focus coaching; the link is at the bottom of the page.

John Purkiss More Letting Go
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
Thursday Nov 24, 2022
If you listen to my show on Sunday you would have heard that this podcast is 5 years old in January. and it’s time for a change. We have a few shows left in the current format that will come out between now and the end of December.
It’s funny when we consider changing or letting go of the familiar there’s an element of fear that turns up and the urge is to step away from that edge.
Of course, we just need to let go and move forward. But that reminded me of the show with John Purkiss “The power of letting go.”
It was back in 2020 and was one of those inspiring and long conversations, so long that I split the show into two parts you’re about to hear part 1 as a re-upload. It is about overcoming depression mindfulness and how to get the life you want.
The link to the previous listing and part 2 of that conversation is here.

Laura Powner : Get Real About Money
Thursday Oct 20, 2022
Thursday Oct 20, 2022
How do we get real about money and what does that mean? Well given the current focus on Money in the global psyche I thought it was a good time to revisit the ideas around money and mindset.
We all have a money story, I have said before I remember my father trying to make the money he was counting go further. It was all the money he had and he kept moving from one envelope to the next looking to see which bills he could pay and the ones he could not. That image of there not being enough money stayed with me for years and it still comes up from time to time.
The show you are about to hear is from 2019 with Laura Powner, she is an accountant turned money mentor and she helps people get their heads straight about their money. Not just in the sense of how to manage and count it but how to receive more.
This show was in the early days of the podcast and it is so interesting to hear my voice which I think has changed a bit in the last 3 years.
Get Real About Money
Laura is a Chartered Accountant and hypnotherapist. While coming from the world of spreadsheets and numbers she is equally at home teaching clients how to build self-worth as a Mind & Money Mentor.
Do You Know Your Value
That is not a money question but it can have a bearing on how you spend and receive money. It is difficult to build your net worth if you do not think you are worth it. How many examples are there of people who get money and lose the lot?
Laura has worked with thousands of businesses over twenty years. She has helped clients launch, grow, turn around and sell their businesses by working on both the number and the mindset of the owner.
Known for her straight-talking approach, lots of humour and no “jargon. In her words, she is a lover of all things woo but balances this with a generous dose of muggle.
Laura could be a bit unnerving if you are used to normal accountants. It was a cracking conversation which went on well past the recording.
So let’s get real about money.

Morgana McCabe Allan : Radical Wholeness
Friday Oct 07, 2022
Friday Oct 07, 2022
We do not know what we do not know, this conversation is about how we see the world and how there are layers to our reality.
It is back to the stories, narratives and frameworks of society and how we are shaped by them.
My guest on the show is Morgana McCabe Allan it was her PhD that put her on the path to explore the patterns and constructs that we created for ourselves, which lead to her developing her model on the concept of radical wholeness.
Morgana was born in Pasley Scotland, at the time an area was in server industrial decline, it become one of the poorest regions, with the associated drugs and poverty. So humble beginnings, she also endured a lot of childhood illnesses that kept her out of early education.
In these situations, families either buckle and sink or rise above it. Morgana’s parents were able to model how to be better, it gave Morgana the support and resilience she needed.
Stated her first business at just 8 years old breeding small animals and went on to volunteer work as soon as she was old enough before starting work in retail.
Exploring Radical Wholeness
On leaving school she tried university but it was not for her, however, she went back as a mature student at the age of 22
She chose archaeology anthropology and Hispanic studies because it allowed for loads of fieldwork and travel. Now in education, she did her undergrad, master’s and PhD back to back over 13 years.
It was here that she lay the groundwork for her book Unbecoming and explored the ideas around radial wholeness.
It all lead to a multi-disciplinary PhD, she knew it would be accepted without corrections or rejected. As it happened it was acclaimed and the path into Accademia was open for her. But she knew she would never stay.
Our conversation is a look at the construct of society and how we can move beyond them.
For Morgana the work she has started in her PHD needed to be taken out into the world. She left college and worked with a charity for a year before going on to start her current project. Today Morgana is a business mindset, manifestation mentor and the author of the book Unbecoming, Your Unorthodox Guide to Radical Wholeness

Rocky Lalvani : Take The First Step
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
Are you setting your course, are you taking that first step?
My guest on the show is an example of someone living a good life by design a man who came from humble beginnings.
Rocky Lalvani was born in India, when he was two years old, the family emigrated to the US, and while it was a great opportunity, the family had to start at the bottom.
It was a tough beginning, but they worked hard as immigrant families do, the American dream inspired them, and they built their wealth.
During Rocky’s early life, there were lots of success and money conversations with other ex-pat communities. While listening to these family chats, he learned the importance of negotiation and how to hustle.
Starting with his paper route, he discovers how good service leads to good tips. At college, he was buying and selling stuff until he secured a real-estate licence to sell properties.
After finishing high school and going to college, he did a degree in Economics and went out into the world to work.
He did many jobs and eventually built a solid business creating operational and management spreadsheets for small businesses.
Rocky’s challenge was that he found it almost impossible to take the first steps and move his life forward. Our conversation is not about the work he did but the wisdom he developed. We touch on mentors, health, fitness, food and more. All of the steps that help him move forward and build the life he wanted.
Today Rocky calls himself the Chief Profitability Adviser for business owners. He teaches them how to ensure they get paid and that they make pro

Shortcast : Destiny Of Luck
Sunday May 01, 2022
Sunday May 01, 2022
In this show, I am exploring the destiny of luck and exploring how you could bring more luck in your direction.
Does it needle you when you hear about someone getting crowned with success or life's prizes? Do you see other people as just lucky?
I was thinking about this after a conversation with a guest AJ Lawrence; he told the story of an intern who left his company and became employee no five at eBay.
I can only imagine what those stock options must have been like for early investors.
Was that guy just lucky to find that role? I am sure millions of people became interns at companies that went nowhere. We only hear about the ones that made it.
But what if you could create your luck?
I think you can check out the show and explore that idea with me; listen to the end, and there are some resources to help you on that road.

Lets Talk About Money with Sarah McCrum
Monday Apr 18, 2022
Monday Apr 18, 2022
While Sunday is usually the day for shortcasts, this show is about money and will not be short..
I am sharing a recording with Sarah McCrum from our Spirit-duality event as part of the celebration for the relaunch of her book (on the 19th April 2022).
Love Money, Money Loves You: A Conversation With The Energy Of Money
In this conversation Sarah covers her story and gives you a deeper understanding of her work and how you can improve your relationship with money. It is brilliant, but there is more. There is a Part 2 for this conversation where Sarah takes my wife Cheryl and I through some practical exercises for speaking with money – it’s powerful stuff.
Both of these conversations are normally behind the paywall on the Spirit-duality event pages. As part of our support for Sarah’s book launch, I am sharing Part 1 here and giving free access to Part 2 to anyone who purchases Sarah’s book.

Tom Libelt : Music, Business & Life
Wednesday Mar 02, 2022
Wednesday Mar 02, 2022
Tom Libelt's story expresses the impact that a hard upbringing can have on a young man, how he experienced the realities of a corrupt communist country and the struggle as immigrants coming to America.
Tom was never going to follow the working path of his parents. His journey to wealth and freedom started with music, but he has owned a coffee shop, a retail store, a record label, created and filmed a documentary, and released two albums with five hits on top ten Polish radio. Today he has a thriving business in online course creation.
As I am on a break from editing, this show is a re-release. It was popular when it came out, and as it highlights the challenges many people face escaping communist rule, it seem pertinent to share it with you again today.

Sunday Feb 13, 2022
Shortcast : Commitment & Sacrifice
Sunday Feb 13, 2022
Sunday Feb 13, 2022
Today’s shortcast explores the relationship between sacrifice and commitment to goals, and how to avoid the pitfalls and dangers that this union brings.
Be it work, home, relationships or possessions we all make commitments in some form or other. The greater the goal or desire, the more we are likely to sacrifice to achieve or maintain it. These sacrifices usually put a strain on time, energy, finances or health, but what happens when the price becomes too high.
For as long as we can remember humans have made sacrifices in return for the promise of something better. Why is it we are prepared to do this?
Early in human existence, it would most likely have been connected to some sort of religious rituals or rites of passage, often in some form of payment to a deity in return for good fortune and may have included the sacrifice of a highly priced animal, a companion or even a child.
Thankfully we have mostly moved away from the blood sacrifice of a loved one, but we have not given up the idea of commitment and obligations in return for the hope of something better.
When the sacrifices made have become all-consuming or unhealthy, at what point do we make the decision that enough is enough?

Rael Bricker : Speaking For Success
Wednesday Oct 27, 2021
Wednesday Oct 27, 2021
Following a life transition in 2015, today’s guest Rael Bricker, turned an early passion into a way of speaking for success that supports others.
Born in South Africa during apartheid, Rael was not politically active, but from an early age he was conscious that he did not fit the standard model expected of him. He developed a way of bucking authority whilst still being respectful and this has paved the way for what he does today.

Shaahin Cheyene : Rags To Riches
Wednesday Sep 29, 2021
Wednesday Sep 29, 2021
This week's conversation with Shaahin Cheyene is a classic true life Rags to Riches story. From poor beginnings, Shaahin made more money before he was 20 than most of us could make in many lifetimes. So, although this podcast isn't about building financial wealth, I was intrigued to find out what motivates someone to get out of bed each morning when they don't need to.
Faking his ID, Shaahin found work and lived rough in abandoned buildings or cars. That is where he discovered the Rave Scene and loved it. It fitted his life style, plus there were people making lots of money. This was the era of MDMA or Ecstasy and it was the drug dealers who ran the scene and accumulated wealth.
A life of crime was not what he was looking for, but it did get him thinking about the possibility of making something like Ecstasy that was not illegal.
“I was Foolish enough to not know I could fail”
That naive faith did the trick and Shaahin was successful in developing the first legal Herbal Ecstasy. With equal blind faith, he managed to persuade the drug dealers to believe in him and within just a few years the product was available in 30,000 stores across the USA. Shaahin was not even 20 years old when his company hit $1Billion in sales.
Shaahin Cheyene's story is about making it big early in life and not stopping there. He went on to create more world-changing inventions; the first mind-enhancing Nootropics and early work with Vaping systems. He holds patents on numerous ideas and inventions and has also written 4 books. His latest entitled ‘Billion’ came out last month.
I hope you enjoy this lively exchange with Shaahin Cheyene and that you find inspiration from his story.
The ‘Amazon Mastery’ course is available via his website and there is a video on his home page where you can access the course by clicking the orange button in the top right corner.
His new book ‘Billion’ covers the full story of his amazing life journey and he has a YouTube channel and his own podcast ‘Hack and Grow Rich”.

Isaac Mostovicz : Diamonds & Luxury
Thursday Mar 04, 2021
Thursday Mar 04, 2021
Scroll down for contact details
My guest on the show today is Israeli born, diamond expert Isaac Mostovicz.
We begin his story at the age of 26 when he was offered a senior role with diamond manufacturer Muller & Sons. A life-changing opportunity for him and his family which meant relocating to Antwerp, Belgium.
In the 1980’s business was booming and it was an exciting time for diamond manufacturers. Isaac was eager and inspired to be in the luxury diamond market where he pioneered new styles of cutting and polishing precious stones.
His passion and dedication turned the factory into one of the very best in the industry. He achieved that success by giving his production team the freedom and encouragement to express their personality as true artisans through diamond polishing.
Success brought rewards and he became the CEO of the company, earning him both respect and reputation within the industry. Sales were good, so money was good, but Isaac could see the industry was flawed and he had questions.
The company’s success opened the door to conversations with some of the biggest names in the diamond industry. In every meeting, Isaac asked the same question, “Why do people buy diamonds?”
Isaac was troubled with the answers he received, and it led him on a quest to find the truth for himself. He threw himself into study, completing his MBA and a PhD in luxury marketing and consumer behaviour. He achieved all of this whilst still running his successful business, which gave him a distinct advantage for selling into luxury markets.
However, like many luxury markets, the diamond business was a house of cards that collapsed with the 2008 financial crash. After 40 years, Isaac was out of work.
This conversation takes us on a journey through the history of diamonds, covering the rise and fall of the business through the eyes of someone who lived and saw the crash coming. It continues with Isaac’s recovery and reinvention and expresses the importance of engaging the heart to impassion the journey of business development.
Today Isaac works with C-suite decision-makers and founders to emotionally reconnect them to their business. He has researched and coached C-suite decision-makers on leadership, ethics, (corporate social responsibility and corporate governance.

Matt Clark : The Linkedin Rainmaker
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
Wednesday Sep 16, 2020
Scroll down for further details about today’s guest.
Networking has always been a natural human desire, and while there are some exceptions, most successful people like Matt Clark the Linkedin Rainmaker are those with expansive networks and connections.
To connect is part of the human condition; however, 2020 has been the year that redefined what it means to network, particularly in business.
As a long term user of social media channels, I have watched the pattern change over the last few months. At the beginning of the lockdown, many of the channels went quiet. However, since it became clear that COVID is going nowhere, my Linkedin channel has exploded with people looking to replace their networking options using this online tool.
Full marks for action but is it the right action when what they want is sales?
Sales for many people is a dirty word but the fact remains that everything we do in life is as the result of a sale of some sort. This week’s podcast is very relevant in a post COVID world as making sales will be key for many businesses returning to life after lockdown. So if you need to make sales and not be sleazy, this is worth a listen.
The Linkedin Rainmaker
My guest on the show is Matt Clark, known to many as the LinkedIn Rainmaker, he discovered from an early age that he loves to sell.
As a young 18 year old from South Africa living in the UK, he landed a door to door sales job. He was knocking on doors selling gas and electricity, but he had the spark and the zest for it, and was good at meeting the targets.
Regularly earning close to £1000 per week he knew he had found his role in life. It was big money for a young man, particularly as he came from a poor background; this job opened the opportunity for travel and discovery.
Are you familiar with Maslow and his hierarchy of needs? Once our basic needs are met, most people look towards self-improvement. Matt was no exception, he used his resources well.
Fast forward a few years and back in South Africa, he co-founded a telecom sales company at age 23 and grew that to more than 6M in sales in year 3. You guessed it; they did this with door to door sales.
But here is the thing, instead of enjoying this success he ended up completely burnt out. That business could not function without him; he was the sales kingpin, and they had built this business using a physical paper system, not a computer in sight..

He stopped knocking on the physical doors and worked out how he could do it virtually. This is the story of his journey into sales automation using online systems and networking skills. While it is about making sales, it is also about connecting with people and creating real relationships.
It is the story of how Matt went on to co-develop a flagship programme with his business partner, Wesley Longueira. Together they form the LinkedIn Rainmaker and have helped thousands of businesses in 26 countries grow exponentially.
They are now on a mission to reach 10k businesses worldwide and build a vibrant community of Rainmakers!
