What is sacredness? May you be are one of those people that have sacred moments in life.

This podcast explores how and why it is important to bring some sanctity back into our lives. There are some great exercises at the end for you to explore.

Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated throughout the UK over the weekend in her platinum Jubliee. I am not a great royalist, but I can recognise the achievement of a woman who has taken on a role that has so many sacred connections and rituals attached to it.

Life was very different in 1952; the sacred was part of everyone's life, just as it was. Incredibly, a large proportion of the UK population thought the queen was directly related to God, and her Coronation was an ancient ceremony created to reinforce that myth.

Society has moved on, and we are the better for it, but we have lost a few things along the way.

Let us explore why we need to reclaim what is sacred to us and see how it just makes life better.

Are you searching for your purpose? Have you tried asking?

We are all searching for meaning and purpose; it may not look like it from your perspective. But searching for a new job or changing career is about the need for what we do to have meaning.

Yes, I appreciate it is about money too, but real happiness is discovered when we align with our values, and the work has a meaning that fits those values.

My guest on the show had the childhood idea of becoming a nun or a nurse, and she did neither.

She had a successful career becoming a VP of marketing for a Realta organisation. She organised events and did a lot of public speaking and team motivation, and it was all about her passion.

As the internet arrived and the business changed, the work became unsatisfying; she lost her passion, and Robyn was looking for a change.

Our conversation was a journey of spiritual discovery. Some of my listeners might find this a little woo.

Woo or not, what is amazing is that life seems to work well for people that have a guided outlook.  Robyn had practical business training and a career, but it made her miserable.

Today Robyn is an author with three books, she is an energy healer and transformational coach, and she consults and speaks at events.

While Sunday is usually the day for shortcasts, this show is about money and will not be short..

I am sharing a recording with Sarah McCrum from our Spirit-duality event as part of the celebration for the relaunch of her book (on the 19th April 2022).

Love Money, Money Loves You: A Conversation With The Energy Of Money

In this conversation Sarah covers her story and gives you a deeper understanding of her work and how you can improve your relationship with money. It is brilliant, but there is more. There is a Part 2 for this conversation where Sarah takes my wife Cheryl and I through some practical exercises for speaking with money – it’s powerful stuff.

Both of these conversations are normally behind the paywall on the Spirit-duality event pages. As part of our support for Sarah’s book launch, I am sharing Part 1 here and giving free access to Part 2 to anyone who purchases Sarah’s book.

Love Money, Money Loves You: A Conversation With The Energy Of Money

Today’s shortcast explores the relationship between sacrifice and commitment to goals, and how to avoid the pitfalls and dangers that this union brings.

Be it work, home, relationships or possessions we all make commitments in some form or other. The greater the goal or desire, the more we are likely to sacrifice to achieve or maintain it. These sacrifices usually put a strain on time, energy, finances or health, but what happens when the price becomes too high.

For as long as we can remember humans have made sacrifices in return for the promise of something better. Why is it we are prepared to do this?

Early in human existence, it would most likely have been connected to some sort of religious rituals or rites of passage, often in some form of payment to a deity in return for good fortune and may have included the sacrifice of a highly priced animal, a companion or even a child.

Thankfully we have mostly moved away from the blood sacrifice of a loved one, but we have not given up the idea of commitment and obligations in return for the hope of something better.

When the sacrifices made have become all-consuming or unhealthy, at what point do we make the decision that enough is enough?

Finding Your Joy is an exploration of thoughts, feelings and anxiety with today's guest, Erin McCullough. She reveals how finding joy is possible at any time, and that we do not have to do anything to matter. We are always relevant and our existence is enough.

Erin had no idea what to expect when she agreed to couples therapy. During the first session she had an unexpected reaction which the counsellor explained was a panic attack. She had never experienced a panic attack before, nor had she any awareness of her suppressed emotions.

“It was a defence mechanism to not feel the emotions of when I was a kid”

Our conversation explores the life transitions that occurred for her through a near-fatal accident, divorce and meeting the man of her dreams on the first 'swipe-right'. It's also a story about the baggage we carry always, wherever we go.

Towards the end of the podcast there is an exercise to explore and discover your own joy.

Miriam Ismail exudes passion for life and always has. She credits her optimistic outlook to her mother and says she has always had the capacity to see the positive side of things, even when they are challenging.

Through our conversation you will discover how she has combined her passion and zest for life with her desire to enable others to excel in their own purpose and ‘mission’ in life.

I asked Miriam what she wanted to share with my viewers and she responded with the three things she wants to share with you.

The first is to know that we are energy beings having a human experience and we are here on a mission. Once we know and understand this our whole perspective changes.

She recommends treating time efficiently and wisely and she also suggests focusing on learning and evolving in whatever topic you are aligned with.

Miriam believes these three things offer the ultimate step to having a fulfilling life. She believes this is because everything we learn takes us further into life and that is where we will learn what our true calling and ‘mission’ in life is.

Although we come at life from different backgrounds and perspectives there is a lot of alignment in what Miriam and I want for our clients. If you would like to learn more about Miriam and her eclectic approach to alternative therapies you will find all the links to her website and social channels at:

“You become what you believe”  is a quote from Oprah Winfrey.

The full quote is actually “You become what you believe, not what you think or what you want.” The reason it prompts this week’s podcast topic is because it is the question posed to viewers of a recent Netflix box set I have been watching.

Despite contrary belief, I do still enjoy a good box set on Netflix. So over the last couple of weeks my wife and I have been following Messiah. It’s the story of a man who is professed as being a Messiah and gains international recognition for performing miracles. The Oprah quote is carved into the table of a diner where one of the characters is sitting, and is the point in question for viewers to take away and ponder for themselves.

The reason I bring this up is because it ties in well with last week’s conversation with Nate Rifkin and the forthcoming conversation with Rich Morley that will be released on Wednesday. It is something that comes up time and time again in the podcast and in personal development. In researching this, I also notice that it is even raised in the bible: Matthew 9:29-30

This shortcast explores the power of belief and offers suggestions for changing our lives through changing our beliefs.

Unlike many of us who have been conditioned to believe life is a struggle and we have to push through challenges to reach our goals, Terry Sidhu’s philosophy is to…

“Find The Path of Least Resistance”

It is a refreshing change, and quite a surprise considering the challenges Terry faced as the child of immigrant descent growing up in a working class environment in central England.

“I grew up in 4 different communities and didn’t quite fit into any of them.”

When asked where his story begins, Terry takes us right back to his primary school years. Born the child of Indian heritage Terry’s home life was steeped in the Punjabi traditions. However, living in Wolverhampton meant his English school education was strongly influenced by western Christianity.

As if that wasn’t confusing enough for a quiet sensitive child, Terry also found it difficult to fit in with his peers. From an early age he had to contend with extensive exclusion, ridicule and bullying from other children, both at school and in the frequent social gatherings within the Sikh community.

“I never felt comfortable in this experience called life. I didn’t understand it”

Because of this Terry resorted to a solitary life and a lot of his thoughts and ideas tended to be of a religious, esoteric nature.

This week, my guest, El Edwards is joining me to talk about being weird with God.

This is an honest and open conversation, because El is not afraid to be weird, she rejoices in being different. So this is about her willingness to be honest and open about talking to God!!

There is no preaching here, so stick with me.

El has a bubbly personality, so whatever you think of the subject you will enjoy the lively pace and fun she brings to the conversation. El and I have different perspectives about God, so it was fun to bat a few ideas around with someone so open and honest. Whatever your view, there is some valuable insight to gain from listening to this and learning how El has created a life that is rich and fulfilling for herself and others.

And for my American listeners, she has a great Welsh accent that I am sure you will enjoy.

This weeks thoughts are prompted by a podcast interview with one of my guests who has strong Christian beliefs and is in regular communication with (what for her is) God. She runs her entire life based on the guidance she receives and it clearly works.

Some might say this is just coincidence. I personally believe it is something more. In fact ‘coincidence’ is such a regular part of my life that I am rarely fazed by it and have almost come to expect it. I don’t call this God, but for me it is still feels like the guiding hand of unseen help.

I know many people who connect with an unseen force and have different ways of explaining it. Our Spirit-duality event significantly highlighted this for me and more recently I am reading Perry Marshall’s latest book and discovering a lot of people are working directly with what they call ‘Memos From Head Office. It’s a fascinating subject, and yet it is still rarely openly talked about.

How does coincidence figure in your life? Do you call it God, or something else?

I have been reflecting on my dreamscape. Many of us accept that our dreams are a window to the subconscious and some consider it a valuable resource, a place to connect with our deeper self and true desires.

I am noticing that my latest Netflix box sets are turning up as night time action in my dreams, and whilst this is very entertaining, I have been wondering if I am giving this inner resource the best materials to work with. Am I hindering my capacity to receive messages from a higher source?

How do films or novels appear in your dreams? What is the role of family and friends in dreams? And is it actually possible to read while dreaming?

I would love to hear from you with your dream experiences.

My guest on the show today is a successful speaker & presenter on the world stage and now an author. Dawna Campbell, like many who follow the classic career 'success' model reached the point where it almost crushed her.

When Dawna was nine, her mum asked her what she wanted to do with her life.  Joining Greenpeace and saving the whales was her first choice. Her mum was unconvinced that it was the right life choice and suggested a more professional vocation.

“Be a Doctor lawyer or even a scientist.”

It was that conversation that set her on the path towards a professional career in finance. After years of study, College degrees and security exams, she moved into the finance industry and became passionate about helping middle-class families get the finance they needed for a better life.

After ten years in the industry, with the stress and anxiety burning her out from the inside, her body was giving up. With years of ongoing ill health and even surgery, in desperation and looking for a solution, she found an alternative route that put her on a new path of discovery.

Since 2010 Dawna has been known as the ‘Mind Whisperer’.  She combines her past knowledge, wisdom, and experience to help people restore life and move towards happiness, prosperity, and love.

Over that last year Dawna has combined her 25 years of professional experience in the finance and alternative sector to create a book:

Financially Fit

It brings together the financial world, the energy body, and the soul’s essence.

When free to do so, Dawna travels as a motivational speaker and workshop leader. She is passionate to share Heart Centered Healing philosophy as a means to creating a world that is a better place for all.

My conversation today is reflections around the number 29930 it might seem a strange number. I was listening to Johns Strelecky speaking, and it is the average number of days a person will live on the assumption they survive and get to 82 years of age.

John is the author of "The cafe at the edge of the world". A book that came from his discoveries while lost and finding a remote cafe. It has sold over 4 million copies, and they are currently discussing a film.

I had no idea then how different things would be when we first released this recording in March 2020 – living in a world when the Corona Virus was sending us all into lockdown and the sound of a slight cough could set alarm bells ringing.

It was the wake-up call of Covid19 that prompted my first Virtual Summit, and as we are re-releasing this recording in November 2020 I am in the midst of co-hosting my 3rd Summit with my wife Cheryl. The theme for this one is more important and significant at this time than it has been at any

Can you imagine what it would be like growing up if the shadows in the dark were not figments of your imagination? My guest on today’s show is Jennifer Main – the empathic initiator whose psychic abilities meant that as a child those shadows were more real and scary than they are for the rest of us.

A Gift With A Price

Jennifer has been empathic from a very early age, but what does that mean?

It means she was super sensitive to the world around her; she could see, feel and hear stuff that others couldn’t. That might sound like a fantastic superpower. But like all gifts, it came with a price, and for Jennifer it was a high one. As a child receiving love and emotional support was difficult, because hugging people was painful. Adults carry so many emotions and this is very confusing to a young child who receives all this pain and emotional baggage in a hug.

Jennifer was born in North Carolina, known as the Bible belt of the USA. Her family have strong Christian beliefs so there was no easy way to talk about the things that might have been considered ungodly. She learned to rationalise the images and thoughts she received as part of an overactive and creative imagination. But it initiated her interest in psychology as a way of gaining more insight and understanding about the images, feelings and experiences she was having. She says her whole life has been a study of humanity beginning with herself.

The Empathic Initiator

The Empathic Initiator

After leaving school, Jennifer went on to study psychology and worked in the field of addiction and special needs.

Presently she is known as the Empathic Initiator and works as a transformational guide and speaker. She is a catalyst for change, her mission being to inspire individuals to recognise their unique potential and calling, to embrace purpose, and to live an aligned and authentic existence.

I hope you enjoy this conversation with Jennifer Main,
