LP&B 59 Georgina El Morshdy The Message Maker
Friday May 10, 2019
Friday May 10, 2019
My guest on today's podcast is Georgina El Moshady she is a copywriter and has been the voice and ghostwriter behind some of the big product launches out there on the internet land.
Like many of my guests, this life was not part of the plan and has been a journey of discovery.
Last week saw the launch of the Change Your World Every Day. It is amazing to be part of the team that is bringing this project into the world. Seeing people step up to the possibility of change is such a privilege. It is also pushing me to evaluate my position.
The topic that came up for many of the group the recognition that life could be a struggle. Why is that so? My wife prefers to call these challenge as struggle feels so negative.
I have been considering this for a few days and have come to a different conclusion that struggle and challenge can be that same. It is a question of perspective.
Could there be a difference between facing a problem, which is taking on the challenge? Or being in the struggle as resistance to facing the challenge?
Challenge or struggle they are both obstacles on the path to our chosen destination.
What I notice is that even successful people experience their own challenges. But more than that they will often create them seek them out.
Why seek a challenge
I guess the question is, would life be worth doing if there is no resistance to doing it?
Think of all the best stories or films, it is about the hero on a journey. The characters go through a series of event meeting resistance on the path. Those challenges strengthen the resolve to build their character making them ready to meet the next big challenge.
If Luke Skywalker hopped on a spaceship somewhere and blew up the Death Star when the first 10 minutes, the Star Wars adventure would not have lasted for 11 films and counting.
The point is in order to live a good life. We need the challenge to keep it interesting. There needs to be some stretch and strain, the level of that depends on who you are, but it will grow as you grow.
For some, there is a desire to keep growing. have already mentioned successful people going out of their way to create challenge and obstacle. They have reached a point where every day needed something to keep it interesting.
Through these interviews, I have been allowed access to peoples life path and goals are just markers on the path. They are the points of momentary reward, but it is the journey between the goals that makes it all worthwhile.
That is enough for today, this conversation deserves its own podcast. If you have any thoughts on the get in touch, I would love to explore other opinions.
Back to my guest so I've known Georgina for a number of years we have been in similar groups together. I have seen her grow and develop moving out from behind the scenes and taking on a more proactive roll.
Over the last few months she has been expressing her own message, our conversation is the story of how her life moved in different directions.
Georgina El Morshdy has been a professional copywriter and content creator for over 7 years. She is known as the ‘Secret Voice’ behind a number of 7-figure brands. It is her ability to unlock the message that has helped many entrepreneurs establish their thought leadership through the written word.
She one of the writers for Copyblogger and Talk Business. She’s also ghost written articles that have featured on sites such as Entrepreneur.com and Forbes.
When not writing, Georgina is passionate about personal development, the inner journey, and fearless self-expression. She loves deep conversations, long walks in nature, spontaneity, and overseas adventures.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Georgina El Moshady

LP&B Simon Jordon Time to Surrender
Thursday Apr 04, 2019
Thursday Apr 04, 2019
This week's podcast is a throwback January 2018. The recording with Simon Jordon it was the third interview I have done on the show and was the launch podcats.
I think my interview style has changed since the beginning. I am a bit more relaxed and free-flowing. However, that does not diminish the story.
At the beginning of a podcast that early material does not get seen. Which is sad as some of the first interviews are fantastic. As I have a bit of glitch in my programme planning, I thought it would be time to share some past programmes
So this interview is with Simon Jordan, and it took place in January 2018, Simon is a branding and marketing guy like myself.
He's had an interesting journey; it started as very much a go and get it kind of marketing guy in the pinstripe suit to someone that now climbs mountains with his clients and sees a connection with nature is far more important.
As a starting point, this journey is about surrender about how he went from this ego-driven character to someone now who sees life as a river flowing past him.
Since this conversation, Simon has launched an ECO project called five things clear. It is all about removing plastic from the environment. It encourages people to pick up five things and put them in the bin.
It has been a fantastic project for him, it started from a walk on the beach, and it has now grown arms and legs popping up all over the world.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Simon Jordon.

LP&B 56 Nikki Love 63 Marathons in 63 Days
Saturday Mar 23, 2019
Saturday Mar 23, 2019
Nikki love in 2017 she completed 63 marathons in 63 days. Since then she has run in the desert and run around Ireland. While the 63 in 63, is not an official Guinness record she is still the only women in the world to have done it.
What makes anyone want to do these distances, it has to be a drive and passion that is for sure
My relationship was never good. Twenty years ago before it was fashionable I had a cousin who used to run a lot. I thought it odd, as my resistance was forged in the terrible memories of cross-country running at school. Awful conditions always cold and wet and some of the nastiness that went with the education of the time. Thankfully that has changed.
When I came back to it to exercise in my 50s, I found that I couldn't run it hurt. It was only by going to a physio that I discovered that I had forgotten how to walk properly. I had to learn how to use my knees and ankles again. Fast forward a couple of years I was running 3K on running machines at the gym.
It was my brother who suggested we go out for a run one day when I was visiting, and I absolutely loved it, From there It was a quick jump from 3 k to nearly 10k, and I completed my first proper 10K race last September 2018.
I enjoy it, and I can understand that passion and drive that people experience. but the idea of taking on these mega distances for me is something else.
Nikki is an amazing woman who is spreading the word about exercise. Taking the message into schools and all over the country. She is leading the charge to help people understand the benefit of getting active and just moving. The key to her success is not to run fast
We were on zoom, so I could see how windswept she was, as before our conversation she as out running with a local school the out on the hills with a women's group in the sleet and rain.
It was a great conversation it's about her Drive why she does what she does. We also explored her latest project which is about running across Australia 4000Km in 63 days. We talk about sponsorship and how that project is structured.
Nicky this is an amazing woman I hope you enjoy the conversation with Nikki love

LP&B 55 Dov Gordon The Alchemist Entrepreneur
Sunday Mar 10, 2019
Sunday Mar 10, 2019
Today's guest is Dov Gordon the Alchemist Entrepreneur, he has a system that helps his clients find simplicity on the other side of complexity.
Dov is a marketing guy, so I am I had to be very careful to get geeked out on the subject as I often do when I meet fellow professionals.
But first I wanted to touch on last week's podcast and short cast all about money. Clearly, that is a massive subject for everybody because I've had lots of downloads of podcast more than any other. It has been very interesting to see the reaction,
If you are looking at the money mastery project, stop this podcast and go to the website life passion and business. The link to the programme is on the podcast with Laura. You have a few hours left to get in on that project, the doors will be closing shortly.
If you want to get your money stories sorted with Laura Powner please take action now. https://mindandmoneyacademy.thinkific.com/courses/money-mastery?ref=ba637f
Back to Dov has been in marketing for over 20 years and struggled until he developed a system that worked for him.
It's great when guests reach to me to be on the podcast. I was intrigued by his system. He could see that there are millions of consultants and coaches who were really good at what they do. Struggles to find consistent leads or business
They were not charismatic Guru type self-promoters
His takes an agnostic approach to help clients build strong strategic foundations they can apply to build a simple client getting system. It is all based around 3 questions and the simplicity of it is actually quite mind-boggling.
So I hope you enjoy the conversation with Dov Gordon.
You can learn more about Dov's work at https://dovgordon.net
Dov has offered book/manual and you can get it here https://dovgordon.net/paulharvey

LP&B 54 Laura Powner the Money Mentor
Friday Mar 01, 2019
Friday Mar 01, 2019
Another week another podcast, I have such a privileged life in that I get to speak to so many interesting people about things that matter to them.
So this week we are talking about money. So here's a thing for you to think about. What is your story around money? What are your feelings about money?
You might have seen the meme of heard the joke People spend a lot of time worrying about money. But money doesn't care what you think or feel about it.
Ok, it is not that funny but considering money does not exist as an entity we put a considerable amount of energy and time into it.
The story or relationship we have with our money starts young, and it is a story that will shape our future.
I have an up and down relationship with money, I have never had a lot, but there has always been enough. That is not to say I do not worry about it. Even now if I am having a lousy cashflow month and I know the deadlines and coming I get very uncomfortable, moody and to some extent quite depressed.
Our money relationship starts young, and I come from a family where the predominant phrase was money doesn't grow on trees. Both of my parents come from impoverished beginnings. It is no surprise that I hold a negative money story
I have looked to address it many times, and I am better than I was and not as good as I will become. I am working on it. So it makes me even more delighted to have the conversation with today's guest Laura Powner as she is a money mentor.
I saw Laura speak at an event in Brighton a few weeks back, and it was apparent there was a story to tell.
Laura is a Chartered Accountant and hypnotherapist. She has her feet in the grounded, practical world of numbers and spreadsheets. But is equally at home teaching clients from all over the world how to build self-worth as a Mind & Money Mentor.
In reality, it is difficult to have money and build net worth if you do not think you are worth it. How many examples are there of people who get money and lose the lot?
Laura has worked with thousands of businesses over the last 19 years and helps clients launch, grow, turnaround and sell their businesses by focusing both on the money and their mindset.
She is known for her straight-talking approach. She always says what she means which includes bad language, a hint of sarcasm, lots of humour and no “jargon.
And in her words, she is a lover of all things woo but balances this with a generous dose of muggle.
She is a bit unnerving for an accountant. It was a cracking conversation which went on well past the recording.
I know you are going to enjoy this conversation with Laura Powner.

LP&B 53 Corinne Noyes Madame Flavour
Thursday Feb 14, 2019
Thursday Feb 14, 2019
My guest on the show is a testament to perseverance on my part. But first the story I was given a packet of tea in a Christmas hamper in 2017. As a marketer, I was inspired by branding and packaging.
The packet has a story and you would think it is brand of longevity. I did my research and discovered it was a business based in Australia run and owned by Corinne Noyes.
Because of the packaging and the branding I assumed it was family business and that Corinne was the next generation. How wrong was I?
Corinne is the brand creator and founder of Madame Flavour.
Her story is that of a full-on brand and marketing career working in the industry for over 20 years, for some of the biggest companies in Australia.
Our conversation today is about how she was looking for a change and fell into the tea business.
While a small project she had big plans and from the beginning, she set out to surprise and delight tea drinkers. She succeeded on many levels, pioneered Madame Flavour, launching eco-friendly leaf tea pyramids.
This business started from the spare room of her home, with the industry experience she pitched to major retailers and won the business.
Ten years later, Madame Flavour is a household brand name, with over 100 million tea pyramids sold, in her words, 100 million tea moments experienced.
The range is sold in luxury hotels, airlines, cafes, restaurants and in major supermarkets in Australia, NZ Asia and of course the UK.
So why my persistence, well Corrine actively retains the bits of the business that she enjoys and travels testing and tasting to manage her business. It was hard to get dates that matched because she really is Madam Flavour tasting her way around the planet.

Lynn Robinson Intuition and Lottery Numbers
Welcome To Life passion and business this is episode 52 and my guests on today's programme kind of arrived. This program is about intuition. We all have access to it and experience at different stages of life. I know a few people that dance through their life making important decisions based on stuff that is so intangible.
I first heard Lynn Robinson to the flywheel podcast way back last year. That is the show hosted by one of the early guests Victor Jimenez. While at the gym last November, it flashed back up on my podcast app and so I listened to it again
Without getting to woowoo, I realised that I wanted her on the show because I noticed in the last few months that my life is very much in the flow.
Now what I mean by that. It's not huge but things seem to happen when they need to and for some reason, I am inspired to do things when the time is right. It's so hard to put this into words because it's almost impossible to do so. But is just a feeling that guides the right action. So I reached out to Lynn and she said yes.
Lynn is internationally known for her intuitive advice and counsel she is a widely recognised author and motivational speaker. She works with business and individuals as this intuitive advisor and offers insights into bold decisions and strategies. She does this in a way that where both parties feel their way forward. She must be good, as she has been doing this for 30 years and it is a long way from customer service management.
In our program, we talk about her experience with intuition and how it has guided her life we talk about some of the stranger stories about those 6 numbers and the lottery.
We talk about her success model is, developing intuition and the meaning of life
If you've ever wanted to be more in tune with whatever it is that supports these big life decisions or even the smallest decisions. This is the podcast for you I think you may be surprised at what's possible.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Lynn Robinson

LP&B 51 Jason Hulott Swordsman Marketer and More
Thursday Jan 17, 2019
Thursday Jan 17, 2019
My guest on the show today is a dark horse of the digital world, Jason is a man that has been many a living moving electrons around since the last century. He was in the digital world before there was one.
Before I get on to Jason, Just a heads up I released another podcast short this week. I was called the wellness Spiral and it is about maintaining a good strong mindset. It is my process to keep myself balanced throughout the day.
I will be making more of these shorts and they will become available under the Free Stuff tab at life passion and business.com
Ok so back to Jason,
Jason is a wizard with the digital stuff, but there is more, he is a medieval swordsman, martial arts man and I only discovered after we had finished recording that he is a huge Star Trek fan.
"I co-ran one of the largest Star Trek fan clubs in Europe. All by post!"
Who knew, and disappointed we never got to chat about that on the programme. Possible a good thing or I may have gone full-on sci-fi geek.
Jason has been in the digital industry since 1996 before Google, before Facebook, before everything that we have come to take for granted.
He and his wife run a successful digital agency called Speedie Consultants, they are involved in client affiliate programs and digital marketing campaigns.
The current business focus is the affiliate consulting business called the AffiliateDojo. ( a touch of the martial arts here too) He aims to help businesses maximise affiliate programs and develop systems to promote other people’s products. It is all about helping them create the process, earn commissions and maximise revenues.
Outside of the business, Jason likes to teach people how to hit each other with historical accuracy as he teaches medieval sword fighting.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Jason Hulott

LP&B 50 New Year 2019, What about Goal Setting and Big Vision
Wednesday Jan 02, 2019
Wednesday Jan 02, 2019
Goal Setting and Big Vision
A happy new year and Welcome to 2019 and the 50th podcast at Life Passion and Business
I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year's celebrations. I am just back from a city break in London with the family. Staying in a flat overlooking the River Thames at Greenwich. I got to be a tourist in my home city, and we saw in the new year on the key side watching fireworks on the London skyline.
I had planned to get this podcast out nice and early, between family poor connection and a noisy environment it did not happen.
How do you feel about the New Year?
It has a special significance for the wife and I as it was our first date, and that was 25 years ago. Hence the city break.
However, the New Year did not always represent good times for me. I often struggled with it, certainly as a young man. There was always so much pressure to have a good time, you should enjoy yourself and celebrate! I can remember a New Years at a club in London with friends and feeling alone.
It may be party time but it is also a time of reflections. This can be good or bad depending on how the year fell. For many and I have been there it is a question of dressing up the same goals in new clothes and hoping for the best. I have also met people that got the goals they wanted and it did not feel as they expected.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
I get it. The new year is a definite time marker and proof that what you said you would do either happened or it did not. We are told that.
“An entrepreneur you must have a vision.”
“The drive for goals and the big vision is a key foundation of a successful life or business!”
Is that true?
I have met people that plan nothing and manage to fall forward into amazing opportunities. The common aspect of these is that they are super networkers. Something I will explore is a future podcast.
The 12 Week Year
A few years ago I did the 12 week year, I bought the book for Christmas and said this is it I am going to make this happen. The idea is to split the year into 90-day cycles and plan out every action towards the desired outcome.
I noticed at the time it just didn't happen. I didn't reach the goals or the outcome I was expecting. What happened was that I found it very difficult, first of all, to define a goal that was clearly mine, and to stick with it.
Yeah ok, having more business is good, having more customers is good. The drive to do wasn't really there ( I was pushing myself to create more work for myself) so I started to fall back on the goals I had set and by the end of the 90 days I have probably done less than a quarter of the project.
So is that a failing in me? Or a failing in the idea of goal setting and big vision part of me?
It is no secret on this podcast, my key question has been to determine what I actually want from life.
In the past I didn't choose and it took me a long time to realise that not choosing was actually a choice. So over the past few years, I have made choices but mainly reactive choices not really planning a path but choosing the path of least resistance. It does not lead to big wins.
This podcast has changed my outlook and there is more of a proactive direction to my life these days. Setting and achieving goals is still a challenge for me.
How to do, " goal setting and big vision "
Given this time is about reflections on goals and vision, and there are people out there they want to get stuff done. I wanted to use the 50th show to address the idea of goal setting and big vision, and how to approach them from a healthy perspective.
So I invited two of my past guests to join me on the programme, both of them have visionary projects.
Simon Jordan was guest on podcast three, he is a brand and marketing man. Yes, we are in the same field of business. Simon has a new new project and its birth and growth is relevant to this discussion.
My second guest is Suzy Beaumont. She was a guest on the 37th programme, her project is still unfolding but like Simon, she has made discoveries along the way that flies in the face of how we understand goal setting.
So this programme is an exploration of how the three of us have experienced the setting of goals and having a big vision. What has worked for us and more importantly what does not work and why.
I hope you enjoy this three-way conversation about goal setting and big vision. If you find it useful disagree send us a comment I would love to explore your perspective.

Patty Lennon Fifty Speaking Gigs in Fifty Weeks
Welcome to the programme in what is Christmas week 2018. My guest on the show 49 is Patty Lennon, her mission is to bring back the soul into the business world.
Patty is a business coach, keynote speaker and author. She is a woman that inspires people in business to lead and sell with passion and purpose.
But first, advanced notice and a technical apology
On New Year's day, I will be releasing the 50th show, and it is all about vision and goals. But not in the way that you think. In that programme, I will be speaking with Simon Jordon and Suzy Beaumont. Both past guests with visionary projects that are unfolding in a very different way.
So please subscribe to the podcast in your app so as not to miss this important show.
The Technical Bit
Patty Lennon and I met up and recorded this interview via the zoom app at the beginning of December. Patty had said at the time she was getting some interference on the line, little did I know that zoom had selected the wrong microphone.
Sadly my audio quality has suffered despite post-processing. At times my voice will be hard to hear. That aside Patty is coming through loud and clear, what she has to say worth a listen.
So tell me, Do you want more speaking Gigs?
On the show, we talk about the challenge of getting 50 speaking gigs in 50 weeks. Patty has a competitive nature, so accepting the challenge was exciting, it was not so easy when her mother a relapse need treatment for cancer.
We talk about authenticity about being real and in the moment and presenting that emotion on stage is both a powerful and memorable experience for the audience.
Patty believes that businesses must be more than a way to make money, they must contribute to our fellow humans. She is committed to helping her fellow entrepreneurs learn to grow their businesses from a place of love rather than fear and experience the true power, prosperity and peace that arises when they do.
She mentions her faith in Jesus, her interest in other theology and how these work for her. If that bothers you, please see beyond, because this conversation is valuable.
I hope you enjoy the conversation here is Patty Lennon Fifty Speaking Gigs in Fifty Weeks
As mentioned above next week is the 50th programme, it will be live on New Years Day. ( UK time ) To celebrate, I have invited back a couple of past guests, both with visionary projects.
Simon Jordon and Suzy Beaumont
The topic is BIG Vision and how to approach vision in a way that has nothing to do with hustle and grind.
Subscribe to the show and you will not miss it.
It only remains for me to say thank you for listening and I will catch you next time.

LP&B 48 Damien Fogg Retired Early at 32
Friday Dec 21, 2018
Friday Dec 21, 2018
Damien Fogg is a full-time Investor. He has titles such as Chartered Surveyor, Mortgage Broker, Financial Adviser, Property Developer, Landlord, Trader... plus a few more.
But Damien is unique in my guest profile because he is not driven by passion or by having a strong "WHY". That has not stopped him from building a life that some might envy.
To put it all into a context, he has been involved in most kind of investing over the years. Before his retirement, he had over £2.2 billion worth of developments under his belt.
It was other people money, and it allowed him to build up a passive income. Retirement came early at just 32, clearly, somewhere along the way he figured out a system that worked for him.
Now his mission is to help other people gain more time and reduce their stress by managing their finances and investing in their long-term future.
Some people struggle as they travel this life, they find it hard looking for meaning or reason for it all. I would put myself in that boat, and say it is an ongoing quest for me.
Thankfully for this podcast helps, it has given me focus and direction, and it is opening so many doors. but enough of my journey.
Back to Damien, he has created a life that works for him by making simple choices. He decides what he wants his day to look like and works for there.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Damien Fogg.

LP&B 46 Shay Rowbottom Viral Video & Content Queen

Shay Rowbottom Viral Video & Content Queen
Shay is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Margle Media. It is a very official corporate title possible why it is abbreviated to COO.
Margle Media is a social media marketing startup based in Milwaukee. They specialise in viral video creation. The company distribute around 2,000 videos per month and now averages over 1 billion monthly views on their content.
A billion is a staggering number of social media views and shows what is possible with creativity and know-how.
But LP&B is not about me getting geeky on the marketing stuff. It is about the people behind the project and what drives them.
Regular Linkedin Contributor
Shey started to appear in my Linkedin feed about three months ago. It was her videos that impressed me.
She's a regular contributor to the LinkedIn platform and makes videos on a weekly basis. But these videos are nothing to do with her business.
The videos are about life; they're about how she feels about things, they are about depression they are about the touchy-feely subjects. All the things that humans know about, but don't necessarily want to talk about...
I was inspired to reach out to her because she is so raw and real in these videos. I wondered what that was about and where that was coming from and how she finds it so easy to express it publicly.
Shay Rowbottom Viral Video & Content Queen
Shay dropped out of college to pursue a music career, but after years struggling to make it, she became dissatisfied and was looking for a change
An opportunity arrived to learn viral video editing for a large blog on Facebook; it is where she met her life and business partner Luke Marlow.
Together they started Margle Media from the bedroom at home in downtown Milwaukee in spring 2016. Since then it has scaled. It now employs over 30 people and services companies such as Nuts.com, Yahoo, Petco and MGM.
They provide social media marketing campaigns and daily video content for social media pages. As said above they distribute around 2,000 videos per month and get an average of 1 Billion views per month on their content.
Shay is a product of the internet generation; she exudes confidence and yet there is a vulnerability. Where does that come from? What is it that is driving this young woman to create video and be out there doing what she does?
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Shay Rowbottom viral video maker and content queen

Colette Mason the Book Coach, she is a facilitator of books. Have you considered writing a business book?
Many people dream of writing a book, A Memoir, a fiction piece or a business book. With all of our modern technology, it has never been easier to become a published author.
The number of books published every year continues to rise. Book sales it the UK in 2017 was £5.7 billion. Even with our electronic readers, the popularity of the printed word shows no sign of diminishing.
I have to admit I have a few kindle books, but I cannot enjoy them in the same as a physical book. There is a sense of pleasure to be found looking up from my desk to see books on the shelf.
With books are more abundant than ever, has it changed our view of authorship?
No. The people that have written a book have a certain status, the book gives them a credibility in their field that is difficult to match.
She is a master at in the world of business books, but More about Colette Mason the book Coach in a moment
Routines and Processes
I like to use these section of the podcast intro to exploring what I am up to. Over the last few weeks, I have been talking about morning routines. So I decided to take the time and create some additional shows or shorts to share my thoughts with you.
These will start next and will be part of a series podcasts in addition to the weekly show. The first few will be routines, exercise maybe food or business, who knows where it will lead.
Let's talk about books
Colette Mason the book Coach
She has created a formula that will help anyone with some good ideas to create a book. It has been tested and the process and helped ten authors write and publish best-selling books.
Since creating her programme, it has been instrumental in over 3000 titles for different corporate entrepreneurs.
Her journey starts in the corporate world. For many years she was trusted to produce and publish information for the UK Government and big global corporations. There was a high-profile element to this work – knowing millions of people are reading what they produced. It was quite a buzz. But apart from the occasional public inquiry report, the authors never got the credit.
The information was always attributed to an organisation or a department, and never those who spent time at the coal face researching and writing it!
So she jumped ship to set up her own publishing company and set about writing a book. Colette completed her first draft in just 14 days, from where she had it edited and had eventually published.
She wondered what it would do. What followed was an invitation to speak at a conference in Cern Geneva, she got asked to do workshops in Africa and contracting gigs in Australia. She appeared on the radio, in articles in newspapers and magazines. The book open doors that she did not know existed.
Colette is all about process and about efficiency. I hope you enjoy the conversation with Colette Mason.
