If You Could Get Something Big Done Within Days,
What Would it be Worth to You?
https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/focus-coaching/
Back at the start of the UK lockdown in March. I was inspired to create something and give support to my podcast audience. The idea for a virtual event pulled together a fantastic bunch of people, all willing to give their time and wisdom to the issues and speak.
Greg Fearon and Gillian Davies from the fit and fabulous podcast were eager to take part and delivered a great talk on how to stay fit for life. Once the event was over, I had to bring them onto the podcast.
Gillian was a few weeks back and today is the turn of Greg Fearon. Just like his co-host, he is a women's transformational coach. Over the last five years, he has helped hundreds of women feel better. Get fitter, healthier stronger and enjoy life without looking at the scales.
Greg, like everyone, has a life journey and where he is now could not have been predicted from where he stated. In his words "Growing up, I was the classic fat kid that was rubbish at sport."
Puberty and peer pressure change that and he developed the ability to run and a keen interest in sports. It led him to university and sports science degree.
It was a passion he did not follow, and he chose a career in people management. He worked for some big organisation like the carphone warehouse. After several management roles, he ended up the UK national health service and invited to manage the gynaecology and maternity departments of a hospital.
For Greg, this was a glimpse in the world of women's health. Throughout his management career, he has maintained his connection with fitness. He was always coaching people towards healthier lifestyles, with the NHS role, he had new insights into the needs of professional women.
He saw a need and started Project FIT 6 years ago to pursue a passion for helping Senior Management Professionals, lose weight & get healthy through nutrition and training.
If you would like to get in touch with Greg you can find him on Facebook Linkedin and at the website projectfitharrow.co.uk/ also look out for the fit and fabulous podcast with Gillian Davies

What Makes You Happy
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Sunday Jul 19, 2020
Welcome to the Sunday reflection and today we're talking about happiness
A few days ago I heard a TED talk, The director of a long-term study that started in the 1930s was sharing his reflections. The study was in the USA and started 75 years ago. A 1000 guys in their second year at college and 1000 guys who were in very poor surroundings in Boston and they followed those men every single year for the last 75 years.
So now in their 80s there's there are 60 left but lots of data to draw on about these people and what happened to them throughout their lives.
What was interesting is that some of these 80-year-olds are very content and happy with their lives and it turns out that the happiest had one thing in common.
Happiness is also linked to my last podcast with John Perkins and this idea of contribution and being in the moment.
The next podcast of the on Wednesday the 22nd and that will be with Greg Fearon who is a transformational health coach

How is your focus?
Sunday Jul 12, 2020
Sunday Jul 12, 2020
The plan this Sunday was to talk all about Focus because I've been having a terrible time with Focus myself over the last few weeks I suspect that is and how we get out of this situation it's tolling on me a bit at the moment.
However, Sunday morning came and the sun was blaring in through my windows and it was such a glorious day. If I didn't get out on the bike early I won't go so I went out. I did have a bit of food foraging and I thought I would make my video by the river.
The best-laid plans I did not take any notes with me so I could not do the Justice to the focus conversation. So instead I spoke about being at the river free food and Sunday reflections.
I have included that video on this recording, came home and to work on Focus material for you. You'll find all the details about Focus and some of the things that we need to consider when we're looking to achieve more Focus in Our Lives.
As you will hear on the podcast I am in the process of writing a piece on this subject because there's a lot to be discussed here and I really would like to deliver something of value next few weeks there will be a short ebook of some sort out available and possibly even Workbook associated with it so let's see what happens.

Alex Joseph Workaholic to Behaviour Change Epi 82

Thursday Jul 09, 2020
Alex Joesph Workaholic to Behaviour Change
Could a doughnut-obsession make you thin? Depends..
Alex Joeseph is a former DJ and burned-out finance executive with an appreciation of doughnuts. She kept the doughnut bit but dumped the rest by turning her passion into a profession.
She is a woman with the capacity to commit and focus on a goal, as a high powered business executive with an ability to make stuff happen.
It was all about getting the deal done and if that meant 16 hour days and or finishing that last email while busting for a pee. That is what Alex did.
I have heard it said that man is the only animal that will trade his health to make wealth and then use his wealth to regain his health.
The long hours in banking and constant stress took their toll, and Alex reached the place of burn out. She hit bottom being a workaholic was destroying her body, her health and her relationships.
It was these feelings of helplessness that became the driving force behind her need to change.
Throughout her journey of stress and work addiction and poor health, it was her need to find a workable diet that started the journey. That interest led her to become a qualified nutritionist.
But it was more than just food, we all know what we should eat but often make poor choices. Alex went on to explore the thinking behind food choice and has become a self-confessed neuroscience geek.
Gone is the high power business executive, Alex Jospeh did the terrifying, yet exciting midlife career change.
It is her mission is to help people by showing them how to shift the weight plus see the return to health and sanity. More importantly, its about staying that way for good.
“It is all about making life simple, which is why the words behaviour change, lifestyle change and habits are key to my process.”
Her superpower is the ‘how’ and ‘why and teaching people that real success is in our mind.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Alex Joseph.

Are You Present?
Sunday Jul 05, 2020
Sunday Jul 05, 2020
Are you present?
During the week I recognised my own thinking is getting a bit muddy I was getting into that place of Fear and thought and it came out of nowhere I'm not quite sure where it came I think I've had enough of lockdown to be honest.
With so much going on in the world black lives matter, racism and politics. I realise that all of these things and almost everything is about the story. It is all about the stories that we tell ourselves.
As I thought on this was further and it reminded me of a conversation I had I had a podcast guest a couple of weeks ago John Purkis, and his book is called letting go. I will talk more when it goes live in about two weeks.
The point is John he discovered mindfulness by accident 20 years ago before it was a thing. It all comes down to a conflict with the story. We have a story of how life should be, we have a story that either based on something that we were told from the past or something that we believe in the future.
Only when we are present in the now can we be free.
Check my thoughts and I would love to hear yours.

Thoughts on Fear, Change and Money Stories
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
This week's podcast is a little different. I was reviewing some of the older show and found episode 57 with Suzy Beaumont on the subject of fear and change.
I think it is topical as I have been feeling my fear this week. Nothing dramatic but I believe it is related to change and possible money stories
An often forgotten fact: Unless I am staring at a tiger or a man with a gun, I have little reason to be fearful of anything.
Most of my fear is thinking about the past or the future. The show is good enough for a second airing as it is relevant to our current situation. The show touches on money stories we all have them.
So to give you some background, Suzy Beaumont has been a regular guest on the programme. She is a former BBC producer, with 18 years of experience, working in both radio and television.
While outwardly successful, she not dealing with life and personal issues and generally unhappy.
It was the meeting of a life coach and the discovering personal development that changed everything. In 2017 she left the BBC to start Change Your World and up until COVID has been running conferences and events.
She runs the Facebook group, Change Your Worlds Every Day, where members meet 3 weeks out of 4 for morning for coaching sessions.
This show was recorded in April last year on the change your world Facebook page just before the spring conference.

Gillian Davies Women's Transformation LP&B 80
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
The guest on the show today is Gillian Davies, and she is a women's transformational coach. Gillian specialises in helping women who are in their mid-late 40's, the early 50s. For these women, it is about giving themselves time and attention after many years of providing their focus to the family, careers or business.
Our conversation is about weight management and exercise and how it is the start of so much more.
Life Goes in Stages
It is hard to appreciate when we are young that life is a series of stages. I know this now but did not understand what that means until recently. To some extent, it is all tied up in the standard plan, the success model.
Thankfully most of us are born into the world with a fanfare of love and appreciation. There is that growing up bit, where everyone is so supportive, and then there is the finding your place in the world, getting a partner and maybe starting the family. Though all of these life stages, there is support and guidance from both family and friends.
But there are bumps in the road for men and women where support is somewhat lacking. For women, the significant shifts can arrive close, Children leaving home, Menopause or and Divorce.
All of these factors cause a revaluation of life, a search for meaning many people start that journey with health and fitness. My guess is it all about feeling better about the self.
Losing a few pounds and having more energy is always a great start and today's guest is there to help.
As will hear Gillian is from Ireland and growing up; she had her challenges with identity self-confidence and food. Physical exercise was always her place of escape; it made her feel better about herself.
In our conversation, she talks candidly about her struggle with alcohol and unhealthy relationships. It was the return to fitness that was the most successful coping mechanism.
The Science Career
She started in biomedical science and went into laboratory work and eventually moved into clinical diagnostics, microbiology and infectious diseases. Had she stayed in the career, her time would have been now working to solve the COVID crisis.
However, in 2016 after 14 years in the industry, the company she was working for changed their values. It no longer aligned with hers, so she leapt to follow her dreams and passions.
She did the big adventures climbing mountains, and stuff then returned home to Ireland with her husband and set up a nutrition and fitness business.
Her current mission is inspiring ladies to realise their abilities, increase their self-confidence and feel stronger both mentally and physically in the process.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Gillian Davies.

LP&B 77 Richard Fletcher; The magic marketing sauce.
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
My guest on today's programme is Richard Fletcher; he is an online business coach who has found the magic marketing sauce. But like many people, it was a journey to get there with lots of different jobs. From a professional gambler to a dating coach.
What is interesting about Richard is that he worked out very early on in life that the success model we were all sold didn't work. He could not see the possibility of working or holding onto a simple job for so many years in order to retire well. It didn't fit there had to be a better solution he spent some time in the corporate world while working on the side hustle.
He did the usual journey through the multi-level marketing systems, drinking their Koolaid and he discovered online marketing however it took many years to make that work as it does for all of us.
The driving force of Richard's desire to make money without working too hard, is sheer laziness plus of a love of interacting with all types of people. Richard loves to spend time with his wife and cats.
This is a little bit of a fireside chat between two marketing guys, the story is good, and Richard has a lovely voice.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Richard Fletcher
And that was life passion and business with Paul Harvey and my guest Richard Fletcher if you would like to reach out to Richard you can find him on Facebook that's his social channel. Also find that his website https://magicsaucemarketing.com/

LP&B 76 Sarah Griffiths Trauma and Abuse Therapists.
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
My guest on the programme today is Sarah Griffiths and she is a The trauma and abuse therapists.
We recorded this show just as the lockdown was taking shape across the world. Sarah at that point was stuck in Bali and trying to get back to Australia.
How is very grateful that Sarah found the time to speak to me given that she was in the middle of trying to negotiating a flight home.
Sarah was a successful businesswoman, seeming high functioning and from the outside successful. She had the great job, the husband the house and the children, it all looked fantastic, however, on the inside she was slowly unravelling. Sarah battled her extreme insecurities and lack of self-confidence for many years, she almost committed suicide.
It was that moment of despair that she found the strength to pull herself out of it and start the long journey towards recovery.
The seeds of her trauma started with childhood bullying and culminated at the age of 45, caught in a narcissistic marriage.
Our conversation is the story of her journey towards recovery.
Her journey led to her training as an RTT therapist, specialising in Trauma and Abuse, and developing her signature system and methodology to help people rapidly heal from the debilitating effects of past abuse.
And that was life passion and business with Paul Harvey and my guest Sarah Griffiths.
If you have been affected by trauma in your and would like to catch up with Sarah, you can find on Facebook and LinkedIn or at her website which is Sarahg.com
These links will be available at the website life passion and business.com beneath the podcast player as usual.

LP&B 75 Cheryl Jacobs Serial Entrepreneur
Wednesday May 20, 2020
Wednesday May 20, 2020
My guest on today's programme is the Serial Entrepreneur Cheryl Jacobs.
Looking at her life, you could say she is currently at the top of her game but then who said there was a top. We only reach a ceiling in life when we decide we have and cannot see Cheryl choosing to stop any time soon.
For Cheryl, the journey did not start like this, she was born and raised in Ohio, her father worked in a factory, and her mother was a secretary. She was one of three siblings growing up in an impoverished part of town. They played outside most of the time, no internet, no cell phones.
One never asks the age of a lady, but to be growing up before the internet does set a place in time.
At 18 she married her high school sweetheart and by 19 had two beautiful children but now living in poverty. Relying on charity for groceries and hitchhiking to travel to work or school.
Young love either works or it does not, the relationship with her husband did not last, and he became an ex-husband who was an abusive alcoholic.
She has always looked after her appearance. The big break came when a modelling agency discovered her and ended up with two agencies, one in New York City and another Los Angeles.
It was these contracts gave her the resources and security to move on in life. However, the universe was not done, her mother and grandmother died within months of each other.
Now on her own with a young family depression became that ever-present unwelcome friend. It was the words of her mother that pulled her through and kept her going.
"You're smart enough and strong enough to stand on your own two feet."
Somehow she found the resources and motivation to start her first business, a modelling and talent agency.
Today she runs ten successful businesses, which includes a children's party franchise, with 300 character costumes, 70+ employees and pre lockdown they were operating nearly 100 parties a month. Her tenth project is the Elight flying club a private jet hire and pilot service.
She is a firm believer in fitness health; not every grandmother looks like she does, as I said before there is and will be no stopping of Cheryl Jacobs
Her big mission is to help as many people get out of their way to be successful. She has written 5 books and speaks on the subject around the world.
I hope you enjoy the conversation with Cheryl Jacobs
